From Patient to our Board of Directors

Categories: Blog, Stories

PatientCommunity Health Care (CHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center. This means that we are federally funded so we can provide high quality, accessible care. The Board of Directors at Community Health Care is comprised of 51% patients and 49% community representatives, which is a requirement of being a Federally Qualified Health Center. We are fortunate to have many of the best folks around leading the direction of our organization, including Ken.

Ken has been a patient of ours for about 4 years and together with his provider, Dr. Lenhart, they have been working to develop a care plan that works best for him. Ken feels that “collaboration leads to good conclusions and the best plan of action.” So when he spotted a flyer asking patients to come onto our board of directors, he gladly volunteered.

Ken has been on our board now for 3 years, helping Community Health Care reach our goals in reaching out to the community and improving our quality standards. He has joined us at numerous community events where he enjoys sharing with attendees the level of care he has received with us.

We are grateful to have Ken with us here at CHC. For information about serving on the Board, or about Board operations, please contact Kristina Powers, Executive Assistant to our President and CEO, David Flentge.
