We take the word “community” in our name seriously. Yes, we provide medical, dental, behavioral health, and low-cost pharmacy services to our patients but we serve the whole community as well.
We are in the middle of what’s called “open enrollment.” Open enrollment is the time of year when you can change your Apple Health (Medicaid) or Medicare coverage. Navigating the insurance system can be confusing and frustrating. Community Health Care offers insurance navigation services. We have a team of dedicated professionals, ready to answer questions about Apple Health and Medicare and to see what Apple Health services you might be eligible for. You do not have to be a patient to take advantage of this service. Call us at (253) 722-2154.
Community Health Care offers Prompt Care. Our Prompt Care clinic is located in our Hilltop building on Martin Luther King Way. Prompt Care is similar to urgent care. It is a walk-in clinic where you can be seen for minor issues, like a sprained ankle, a rash, cold or flu, headache, fever, etc. The CHC Prompt Care is open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, closed for lunch from noon to 1pm. Again, you do not have to be a patient to take advantage of this service.
On Community Health Care’s website we have a page called “Community Resources.” This page gives links to all kinds of services in our area for people who need them. Services like: emergency shelters, housing services, low-income home ownership, food banks, drug and alcohol treatment and recovery, services for the disabled, childcare, legal aid, transportation… and the list goes on. It is by no means a complete list,
we are adding new links all the time but it is a great place to start. As you will find in the services community, we know a lot about each other and if we are unable to fill your need, we can probably direct you to someone that can. We love to get out into our neighborhoods. If you go to almost any local resource fair, Community Health Care will be there. Look for the friendly folks behind the table covered in a teal tablecloth. We have giveaways like toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, bandaid holders, and fidget spinners. We also provide information on all the services we offer. We are there to answer your questions and make suggestions. If we don’t have the answer to your specific issue, we probably know someone that does.

Bottom line, we feel high quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone! If you are uninsured, we can bill on a sliding scale. At Community Health Care, no one is ever turned away for inability to pay.
