SCHOOL-BASED ORAL HEALTH PROGRAM 1 Our School-Based Dental Sealant Program provides on-site preventative dental care for over 100 schools and childcare centers in Pierce County. Working together with Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and Puget Sound Educational Service District, we offer services and education to over 50,000 children per year. At our school dental days, we provide:

• Visual oral health screenings to identify decay and other dental needs,
• Fluoride varnish to strengthen and protect teeth as they develop, and
• Sealant applications to reduce the chances of children developing decay on their molars.

Our goal is to ensure children in our community are starting their lives off with healthy mouths. Families are not billed for services provided by our Sealant Program Team.

Currently, we provide dental services at the districts and schools listed at the bottom of this page. You can check with your child’s school office to see when we will be there! If our program days for your child’s school have passed, we may not return within the school year.

If you or your child has Dental needs, please schedule an appointment at one of our Dental clinics by calling (253) 722-2151. We also have Dental Emergency walk-in hours at all of our clinics, Monday thru Saturday: 6:30 AM – 10 AM and 12:30 PM – 3 PM.
