Located on the third floor of the Hilltop Clinic, Community Health Care’s Ryan White Program provides holistic health care for persons living with HIV (PLWH) in Pierce County. The Program is funded under the Ryan White CARE Act which improves access to HIV-related services for low-income, uninsured, or under-insured clients living with HIV. The Ryan White team works tirelessly to ensure that HIV+ clients at Community Health Care achieve successful health outcomes.
In addition to HIV primary care, the program provides care coordination, case management services, medication adherence services & regimen advisement with a pharmacist, and nutrition and behavioral health services. The team goes above and beyond to ensure each patient receives personalized care including navigating insurance benefits, coordinating dental care, and working closely with local organizations for additional support services.
The Ryan White team is dedicated to partnering with the community it serves and works in tandem with a Client Advisory Group (CAG) entirely comprised of HIV-positive clients. The CAG provides informed feedback on the quality of care they receive as well as weigh in on decisions regarding future quality improvement initiatives. The Ryan White Program also hosts a monthly “Lunch and Learn” series where PLWH and Community Health Care staff can come together to learn more about HIV treatment and prevention.
This group of passionate individuals are committed to providing the highest quality of care for their patients and fully embody the values and ideals of Community Health Care.
