Leah Ford

Leah has put the needs of mothers and babies at the forefront of her focus, particularly mothers and infants of color. Noticing that very few in the lactation support community represents the communities most in need of lactation services, Leah completely a Breastfeed Peer Counselor Training Program and worked as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with her local Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Supplementary Nutrition Program. In this role, Leah served as a vital supporter and advocate for some of Pierce County’s most vulnerable. She is guided by a commitment to social justice and recognizes the irreplaceable role of optimal early nutrition in the lifelong health trajectory of our children.
