Maternity

Maternity Care

Since Community Health Care believes that healthy babies start with healthy moms, your care needs to begin as soon as possible in your pregnancy. Support services continue until the baby's first birthday. This allows us to help you as you go through the challenges of pregnancy, and also be there as you adjust to life with your new little one. Maternity Support Services include:

  • Prenatal care
  • Delivery at a local hospital
  • Referrals to community programs and services
  • Pregnancy and infant care education
  • Assistance with finding housing, employment, clothing, furniture, transportation
  • Assistance with finding financial assistance

After the baby's first year, your care and the care of your baby will be continued by one of our many certified family practice medical providers.

Fees & Insurance

We believe that quality health care should be available to everyone, whether or not they have health insurance. Washington State provides free medical coverage for pregnant women, depending on income level. This insurance lasts for 60 days after the baby is born. If you do not qualify for the State insurance program, or if you have other private/public insurance, we accept most insurance plans, and Medicaid (DSHS) coupons. If you don't have insurance and do not qualify for other programs, you may qualify for our reduced fee (sliding scale) program. Your payment will be based on the size of your income and the services received. Our Patient Outreach Staff is available to help you with questions about coverage and eligibility. They can assist you in applying for state funded insurance programs. The Outreach Staff can be reached at any of our family medical clinics.

In 2010, Community Health Care physicians delivered 630 babies!
